admission for the tour is $20 is the Architectural Vision of Paolo Soler the world’s first prototype arcology consciously integrating architecture and ecology into its design. you will understand why Arcosanti continues to influence young architects, urban planners, and designers from around the world. In short an urban city in the desert its 70 miles outside of Phoenix, before Sedona.
Their in-depth guided tour of 60 - 90 minutes begins with a brief history of Arcosanti from its beginning in 1970 to today. Included on the daily tour are the iconic silt-cast and form-cast concrete structures, interior and exterior spaces, the bronze foundry, and the ceramics studio.
Arcosanti also features the Cosanti Windbells. Bill Gates wants to put the same concept in Buckeye.
